Our bags are packed!

Today we head out to the land of kangaroos and koalas. We fly in to Sydney, then immediately fly north to Cairns, where we will be staying 5 nights. While away, we will be updating this blog, as well as blogging with two schools back home.

Holy Cow!

Today Madison made a friend in the back yard. She made attempts to feed grass to a 2000 lb. bull that was grazing with the other cattle in the field behind our yard. Camden couldn't believe she was that close to a bull, and in fact he wouldn't go any closer than the top of the slide. (I have no idea how heavy the bull would be...2000 lbs sounds like a nice round number...its head is bigger than her!)

On September 6, Piper (aka Madison) experienced her first day of Playschool.

We leave one week from today! Keith and Lorrie will be traveling to Australia. Keith is speaking at the ACEC 2006 conference in Cairns (northeast corner of Aus). Some time will be spent in Cairns, Sydney, and Ayers Rock. Watch this blog for updates from downunder.

Camden's First Day of Grade 3

On August 28, Camden experienced his first day of Grade 3. He had to get up a bit earlier than what he got used to over the summer.

After returning from California, we spent approximately 5 weeks at the cabin. Much time was spent on the water - especially after getting the new boat...18.5 feet, 220HP inboard, fuel-injected 4.3L V6.

Camden is at the perfect age for learning to ski and kneeboard. Madison won't be too far behind, as she nearly built up enough courage to try the skis and kneeboard...next year will be better when she is 4. If Boston sees his older siblings trying something, he's sure to be a only a few steps behind.
