Today I got to see James Earl Jones and Adora Svitek demonstrate the modernization of story-telling. James read the Prince and the Pea, while 9-year old Adora searched around the web in front of the audience, researching content for a modernized version of the story. When he was done reading, the audience gave suggestions to Adora for her version. Astonishingly, she completed a modern version like no one on this earth could. James is an advocate of reading and learning. Adora is a young genius who has published works. She later signed copies of her latest novel. Part of this demonstrates that kids today, in their exposure to a high-paced, muti-tasked environment, have greater brain capacity as a result - a big theme of this conference.
The Georgia Aquarium is one of the largest in the world. Below: Jellyfish, sharks above a glass ceiling, and the second largest single aquarium glass in the world (something like 64 feet wide). The Whaleshark in the photo is actually the size of a school bus (difficult to gauge the size from the photo)

Approximately 200 people from all over North America were invited to learn about and discuss trends in Web 2.0 and student standards.
