They're Back

The 2 apple-loving cows came back today - with some friends. In fact, when we were eating breakfast we could see them already standing by the apple trees, looking at us through the patio doors. Usually only two cows come over for apples, but today there were about 10. We are running out of apples, so Madison uses a hoe to knock them down from the top branches.

Boston Playing Hockey

Even at the end of August, Boston loves to dress up in his hockey equipment (a few times each day) and shoot around the drive-way. At a mere 2 years old (and still wearing diapers), this particular activity makes him quite tired, as he will fall asleep on a moment's notice still wearing his equipment.

Friends out back

At times, there are cows behind our yard in the pasture on the edge of town. Boston and Madison have befriended two of them who have taken a liking to our crabapples (#55 and #41 - eartags). They come towards the fence whenever the kids are outside, hoping that the kids will toss some crabapples to them. I think the kids have named them Tiko and Hamburger. (Tiko is from Dora the Explorer, and Hamburger speaks for itself). Notice Boston's ingenuity in making himself tall enough to see over the fence.
